I think John that you must have very limited experience with government departments. This is a minor blip on the scale of government stuffups. The implementation was badly botched, but with the return of the District the product we now have is way ahead of what we had two months ago. With a bit more tweaking (such as making the Range Search default YES instead of NO, and getting the SEARCH button to a more visible position), it will again be the most useful of the various state historical BDM sites. With a little thought, you can now extract more from the index than you could on the old site. Try it, I think you'll be surprised. John Graham
