He was one of thefirst four white men on the field, and hasresided there ever since. He was the son of a captain of the 33rd Regiment, a nephew of the late Dr. Woods, of Parramatta. The deceased, it is said, claimed to be the rightful heir to the Earldom of Ossory, now held by the Marquis of Ormonde. *Empire Monday 16 March 1874* On December 10, at 8 Lawn-terrace, Blackheath, aged 80 year.
