I have an incidental ancestor, Ephraim ANDREW, who was convicted of vagrancy and sentenced to be imprisoned with hard labour for two months. The case was heard in the Central Police Court in Sydney on 14 Feb 1882 (per SMH). Does anybody have any idea how I track down the gaol to which he may have been sent? I can then follow up any prison records with State Archives. Thanks, Darryl
