Hello Listers Phil in England is trying to find some Aussie info about a rellie. Frederick William BISH was born in England in 1902 but married in Sydney (to Kathleen Mary AYLWARD) in 1927. Their first child was born here in 1928 and the second in England in 1934. Phil is trying to find out when Fred Wm came to Australia and exactly where he (and after marriage, they) lived. Here's what he says: "What we would like to know is when Frederick William BISH arrived in Australia and where he went ... "Presumably, they lived in Sydney but the only references we have found so far are conflicting Electoral Rolls for 1930 and 1931 where they may have been in Croydon, Martin, New South Wales or Burwood, Martin, New South Wales." I understand the 'Croydon' and 'Burwood' bits and wonder if 'Martin' was the sub-district with maybe a change of Electoral boundaries/names in 1930/31. Is anyone able to check any or all of the following please? a) Immigration Records pre-1927 (from, say, 1920) if they are available b) State and/or Federal Electoral Rolls c) Post Office Directories from 1920 to about 1933. I have found the Registration entries for Kathleen's birth and their marriage in the online NSW BDMs. Her birth is registered in Paddington and the marriage in Burwood.
