    3. Hi Jean, If the death date is towards the end of 1965 the registration maybe 1966. Have you tried entering a wider span of year to year, it maybe a typo error. I found an entry once that had the first name as the surname and the surname as the first name. And many names and districts have been entered with typing errors. Death certificates can be sometimes located in probate records. My gg fathers death certificate issued by NSW BDM is different to the one located in his probate records. The one from probate has all details recorded. The coroner was the informant on both certificates. The death date was 1877 and the NSW BDM issued certificate was not a registration until 1913 and no reason was recorded in the register for the delay in the registration. Check with the funeral directors if they have any other information in their records. Contact with other people tracing the same family may be helpful.
