Hello Is anyone researching the names ELSTON/HOLCOMBE in NSW, who were originally from Exeter, Devonshire. William Elston & his wife Sarah arrived in 1857 on the "Herefordshire" as assisted immigrants, married in Devonshire in 1857. They had 10 children namely, George, Lucy, William E, Martha, Frederick, William A, Charles E, Alfred R, Florence A & Mary A. I would be delighted to hear from anyone who may be interested in the above family as I have been trying to tie them into my husband's ggrandfather Jesse ELSTON's family who settled in Mudgee after arriving 1860 unassisted. Jesse also brought other members of his family out to Oz in 1864 all born Whitechapel, London. Sarah Elston above was living at Pine Ridge, Mudgee with my husband's grandparents Samuel & Caroline ELSTON son of Jesse, in 1903-1909 as per electoral rolls.
