Hello MargM, Many thanks for your reply. There is a problem here as the couple were married in Victoria and I have a copy of their marriage certificate and no mention is made of a divorce. The information about a divorce comes from a Legal Notice placed in the Argus newspaper on 23rd May 1945 in the Missing Persons column. I am unsure whether the divorce indeed took place in 1945.
