    3. Hi List, Posting this in the hope it may offer some background information in your family research. I have nothing to do with this event, the information was passed on to me by a friend who thought I might be interested - and, yes, I am; what a shame its only on for one week, as there is far too much to see in the time. If you find something that interests you, and you want more information, hold the mouse over the event to highlight it and then click to get the full details. Co-ordinated by the History Council of NSW, History Week 2009 is from 5th to 13th September, and includes walks, talks, exhibitions and films. The theme this year is "Scandals, Crime and Corruption" and covers bushranging, rum-smuggling, cattle rustling, robbery, arson, murder and many intriguing misdemeanours from our early years. There are over 200 venues around the State, and you might find something of interest that relates to your family history on the website - http://www.historycouncilnsw.org.au/events/events?search_id=all Macquarie University is holding a full day of free lectures on 9th September, but bookings are required - http://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/events/events_talks/events/History_Council_Symposium.html Cheers Trish Nowra NSW
