    3. For those on the list in or near Sydney, may I mention some activities which may be of interest to local historians: Dictionary of Sydney - Workshops and Talks 9 December 2009 – 16 December 2009 The Dictionary of Sydney combines text, mulltimedia and mapping and has been developed by the City of Sydney and the University of Sydney with the involvement of many of Sydney's leading cultural institutions and over 200 contributors (so far). It will present the story of all of metropolitan Sydney through a website and, over time, other digital products. It will become a forum for education and entertainment as well as an interactive collection point for local histories. Be one of the first to explore this unique and exciting resource in a workshop presented by the Dictionary team or hear more when the team discusses the ins and outs of the Dictionary.
