Thank you everyone for your suggestions on how to find what became of the elusive Roy Lomas. Yes, I will be getting the pertinent certificates, but NSW certificates are so painfully slow to arrive, I was hoping to be able to find more information while waiting. Thanks Jenelle, I have now tried your suggestions without any luck. I didn't know that the Archways site existed, so that was an extra bonus! Graeme, the Bullpitt family were originally from Hampshire in the UK, and as you say, it's not a common name. William Henry Bullpitt (one of 12 children) migrated to Australia about 1870, married my great aunt Phoebe Jessie Coleman and produced 12 little Bullpitts, but as far as I know, they generally remained around the Bundaberg/Brisbane areas. Kerry, while I'd already found Cecile's death, I hadn't found the marriage, so am exploring that path to try to find a connection between the two Lomas families. Patricia Norma didn't appear on the electoral rolls until 1949, so presumably would only have been aged less than 26. I've only found one documented birth to Cecile and Leonard (Ida who was born and died in 1906). Given that Cecile married in 1906 at 21yo, she would have still only been about 38 when Patricia was born, assuming my guess re Patricia's age is correct. Leonard Lomas died in 1924, which would still fit in with my estimates of Patricia's age.
