Hello list, I am still getting my head around understanding the codes/symbols and meaning of dates on portions of land in old parish maps before I head out to State Archives again. On the 1895 Parish map of Merinda, there is a portion of land on Conditional Lease that has the date 8th April 1908 written across it ( CL08.53); I was wondering if there were any experts out there (Terry?) who could tell me what that date refers to eg. The time that the lease was taken out/approved or the time that the lease expires or..? If anyone can help I'm happy to send an image of the portion of land if that is any help. Cheers Sue
