Lex There are several articles in Trove http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper re death of William Morgan. The Newcastle Chronicle and Hunter River District News Wed 17th July 1861 contain details of an inquest into his death. Also many references on Ancestry to convicts, etc. You would need to have a look to decide which might be your William.
