    3. Hazel,I found the following references to "H.M. Magazine" through Trove: HM Victualizing Magazine1818 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/2177954 HM Magazine1821 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/10894431823 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/2181571 1827 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/317587001827 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/317585961827 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/317586681830 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/32073467 1847 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/36253708 In particular 1827 -- http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/31759041 Which contains the following passage:We are gratifiedto read the advertisements of Mr. Laidley, calling on the freeinhabitants at large, to offer tenders for the supplying H. M. Magazines with food and merchandize of various sorts. Amonth disallowed to enable the Country people as well as the Towns’ people,to make 'up their minds on a subject of so great importance. Even a week isallowed for sending in a tender for a small supply of utensils and other littlethings. We consider all this a great improvement on 'the' plans we have beenaccustomed to see adopted by Mr. L's  predecessors. It has been too much the customhitherto, for tenders to make their appearance in a hurried, irregular, confused, insulated manner, as though there wvere.no more foresight, no moreregularity, no more system employed' in the conducting and arranging the King's Magazines, than what are used by a common shop-keeper andwarehouseman in his private concerns. We particularly applaud that part o' theadvertisements, which gives plenty of time' to the tenderers to make theircalculations previously to making their tenures.' This suggests the His Majesty's Magazines were in a number of places, not just NSW, and were a more massive storage/distribution warehouse for goods that would include food and other items of necessity. Hope this helps!ElaineTAS Descendant in Reno, Nevada On Sunday, August 16, 2015 6:13 PM, Hazel Magann OAM via <aus-nsw@rootsweb.com> wrote: Good morning I have not been on the site for quite a while as I am at  this time compiling The history of all convicts who were assigned or settled in the Blacktown Districts. I am trying though to locate a source on H. M. Magazine and am assuming it might be a hulk in NSW but doesn't seem to come up under any sources I have browsed. Can anyone give me any assistance in my search.
