    3. HI Everyone Has anyone on the list purchased records for someone who served in WW2. Just wanted to know how much it maybe and how much information is contained. I was thinking of purchasing the record of John Robert WALTON who seems to have been a prisoner of war. It may clarify some things for the family as he seems to have not been at all well when he returned hence his son was adopted by John’s sister. Don’t know what became of the wife/de facto? of John Walton. I have just ordered his death certificate that may help. The son is still alive. Kind regards Dianna

    3. Hi Dianna I was fortunate enough to get my grandfathers record digitised when it was free. It does show quite a bit of information about his war service and next of kin etc. I am not sure how much it cost to get the digital copy these days but I think you will find it worthwhile. My grandfather was a POW but did not return his grave is at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery in Thailand. 3. Hi Dianna, If you go to http://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/NameSearch/Interface/NameSearchForm.aspx And put in any common name (with selection from drop down list of WW2) you will find quite a few examples of digitised files to give you an example of what sort of information you may get...
