G-g-aunt Margaret Rooney, born Newcastle area 1873 married in Newcastle area in 1893. According to the marriage registration, the groom was Andrew McAlloon/MacAlloon. This registration entry seems to be the only registration on NSW BDMs for this name, and I suspect it might have been spelt as it sounded. Perhaps it should have been McCallum? Or something? Barbara, Could they have possibly gone to Western Australia. There are Margaret and Andrew McAlloon living in Fremantle 1925.Address was Hotel Australia,Edward St. Andrew listed as a deck hand. Only found Margaret living at Douro Rd,Fremantle 1931. And they died in Fremantle - Andrew in 1931, Margaret in 1949.
