NSW BDM's are free to look-up - go to http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?SessionID=20092880&event=births and Deaths - or Go to Marriages Search on the right. If you want to confine your search to Dubbo, enter that in the District the event was registered. Note that this was the district, not necessarily the place of death. If you want all the details you will have to get the certificate. Not as convenient as Vic BDMs - no download for us. You can buy from Registry Office (quite expensive and can take weeks) or get a transcription, about $17.50. This has all the details that the certificate has, but is not legal in a court of law. So unless you are thinking of contesting a will, go for the transcription. I use Lawrence Turtle, but there are others. As far as the cemetery goes, some are online, some aren't. You may have to pay someone for a headstone transcription. Australian Cemetries Index - http://austcemindex.com/cemeteries.php?state=NSW - has more NSW cemeteries than other states, but nowhere near all of them. They do, however, have Dubbo Pioneer - all 20 of them. You can also search by name. There are 31 inscriptions for Woodley. Hopefully a couple may be 'yours'. Cheers Barbara
