Hi Liz The electoral rolls on ancestry only go to 1954 and back in those days you had to be 21 before you could vote. Your only chance is if sks is going to the state library and can do a lookup for you, though you will have to have some idea of what area he lived in so I don't much like your chances. The other thought is that if he died before 1979 you would be able to order the transcription certificate from one of the agents or write to the registry of BDM's saying you want the death certificate for family history. You may have to supply identification and it is a bit more complicated but what the heck you will never know if you don't ask.
