Some of those pages are so hard to read, even when they are blown up. Helen .. Are you checking on variations of the name? One of my branches from Ireland is Holloway, but also spelt as Halloway, Alloway, etc. In the days of all too common illiteracy, names were written as the listener heard it - add the complexities of different accents of both speaker and listener, and you could end up with anything. Unfortunately I can only go back as far as my g-g-grandfather who relocated from Ireland to Sheffield, from where all but one of his adult children promptly emmigrated to Australia.
