Hi Kerrie My gg and g grandmother are both buried in pauper's graves at Rookwood in 1874 & 1897 respectively, although no strange entries were shown on the index, however when I rang Rookwood they said it was shown on the record that the grave of my gg grandmother stated "never to be opened". Both died of tuberculosis. So there may be some record on the original burial record that will help discover the strange notification, as you mentioned in your earlier email. There were no funeral notices for these ladies either.
