Looking for Emily Dudley, born Sydney, New South Wales in 1861 to George Dudley and Mary Ann Lynch(ey). Recorded as still living on her mother's death certificate 1901. No credible record found of marriage or death in Australia; however one related descendent understands that she die in GUJARAT India, no date given. Does anyone have any information on Emily or the Dudley family Peter Melbourne

Hello list, I have a photograph of my Mother and another lady taken in the rear of a garden at a property called "SELWYN", Kent road, Rose Bay. There are no names on the back. The photo was taken in 1924. Would it be possible to find out who lived there at that time, such as through council records? Many thanks Ian McEachern Geraldton

Hi Carole Perhaps you would be better off paying for credits on Scotlandspeople. It costs £7GBP (approx. A$12.50) for 30 credits. To view and download 1 image costs 5 credits. Credits last for 1 year. Hi Carole I passed over the original post as I have no experience of the My Heritage site But seeing Jans reply I looked again at your post I would not think my Heritage has any births in Scotland, events under civil registration are not available to anyone online except Scotlandspeople On scotlandspeople, yes its £7 per 30 credits, there is a free search to a point but you need to spend one credit for a page of results for the free search (max of 25 per page) then 5 credits to view an image of the event So you would search for events, which you can do for free using the various search parameters available, find how many hits there are, to see those hits costs the 1 credit, that page of results will give a little more detail from which you may be able to tell which is your event, then from that hit you spend the 5 credits to see the image So if used carefully you can get 5 events (or certificates if you will) for 30 credits That applies to the census as well as births, marriages or deaths Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 29/08/2014 12:02, jandbgrant via wrote: > Hi Carole > > Perhaps you would be better off paying for credits on Scotlandspeople. Hi Everyone Thought I would try and find out a little more on these two rellies of mine who were both convicts. I'm not too sure yet which ship James arrived on but it was very early about 1804 and of course his name is spelt different ways. Did find the below:- NOLAN, James 1822 Sep 12,13 Re permission to marry in the Roman Catholic Church at Sydney (Reel 6009; 4/3506 p.229) Looking at the BDM it has his marriage to Eleanor McCarthy in 1822 and again in 1832. His parents are Denis and Ann he died in Concord NSW in 1860. I tried to find his trial at the Old Bailey site but couldn't see it nor Eleanors. She interests me as she was apparently arrested/charged with kidnapping a child she was taking care in England I believe. Would love to know more on these two. Kindest regards and thanks Dianna
Hi Carole, Manually produce your index in Word and then import it into Publisher. I have produced four books by writing them in Word and then importing into QuarkXpress (my typesetting program) because I wanted control over the layout, setup and picture placements. I saved the completed book to a CD and gave that to the printer. But, as Michael says, printers have no issues with accepting Word as your source. Not too sure about them accepting a Publisher document. Carole, you cannot do indexing in Publisher....but you might try doing it in the companion Word program: http://fonerbooks.blogspot.com/2006/09/creating-index-with-word-in-microsoft.html cheers, Elaine at the Sierra Foothills in Nevada On Saturday, August 23, 2014 9:17 PM, Allan Murphy via <aus-nsw@rootsweb.com> wrote: Carole According to the Microsoft web site there is no indexing feature in Publisher at this link http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/publisher-help/is-there-an-index-feature-i n-publisher-HP001109562.aspx Allan -----Original Message----- From: aus-nsw-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-nsw-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of carole douch via Sent: Sunday, 24 August 2014 13:43 To: aus-nsw@rootsweb.com Subject: [AUS-NSW] Microsoft office publisher. Hi Greg, There's nothing in the UK newspapers about his trial other than the info you provided. Maybe the Lancashire Archives could point you in the right direction? http://new.lancashire.gov.uk/libraries-and-archives/archives-and-record-office.aspx Cheers Trish Nowra NSW > Still chasing a link to the Lancaster Assize trial records. > I am researching William Entwistle who was a convict. > He was convicted of Uttering Forged Notes in Lancaster on 20 March 1819. > Greg
Hi Everyone I posted this last week and got a lovely reply from Marg M. Still chasing a link to the Lancaster Assize trial records. Thanks Greg I am researching William Entwistle who was a convict. He was convicted of Uttering Forged Notes in Lancaster on 20 March 1819. We was deported for 14 years. Is anyone able to give me a copy of his trial notes, or a link to same.
