Am resending this message as I sent it to the wrong area Hello everyone. Here I am in the south of the UK which is a bit on the wet side. I am eager though to trace a cousin of mine. His name was DOUGLAS H G LINDSAY.born Bournemouth in 1930. His parents were my mothers elder sister ELSIE, and her husband JOHN who my siblings and I knew as Uncle Jack. He always came to visit us in his sailors uniform when we were young. I know Elsie died as a widow in Monmothshire. When Douglas came on some visits to us in Fareham, Hampshire, he was a shy lad but I took to him. I know Douglas emigrated to Australia and I remember seeing a photograph of him standing on the roof of his bungalow which was submerged by flooding with only the top of the roof showing. I have no idea where he lived then. He would also have known that my mother (his aunt) WINIFRED MORRIS emigrated to Australia and died Calgary Hospital, Kolgarah, 31st December1989 I presume as he married, he would have had a family. Thank you for any help. April Clark nee Morris

    3. As mentioned on Eastmans this morning Australia, New South Wales, Cemetery, Military, and Church Record Transcripts, 1816-1982 Description Card file of cemetery transcripts and a few other record sources created by Clarice (Taylor) Cubbins (1916-2014). For the cemetery records, the information was gathered mostly from headstones, but sometimes from death registers. Each card generally includes the name of the cemetery, the name of the individual, date of death and age at death. Often includes other details such as parent's names, birth details, burial date, or other details about the headstones. Most of the cemeteries are from New South Wales; however, there are some from the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia. There are also a few from British New Guinea. Besides the cemetery records there are also cards representing military veterans from "rolls of honour" and "war memorials" as well as some passenger lists of military personnel. Also includes data culled from a few Church records. Images in this collection were created from microfilm made from Clarice's cardfile during the 1980s. https://familysearch.org/search/collection/2058669 -- Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)

Hi Diane SMALL is quite a common surname so does help if all names are given e.g William Henry Arthur and Hilda Olive . Their marriage registered at Rockdale. Deaths notices of both are in Ryerson. These notices could well give names of any children . You can request a look up or if resident of NSW you can look up both via the NSW State Libraries e.resources pages. Same applies for the other of William & Rebecca's children. NSW Birth indexes only public to 1918 Was Williams full name Wm John and Rebecca's Rebecca Gertrude ?
