Hi Vicki, You've probably already seen the reference to Moya Leslie Solway in The Canberra Times 1932. She and another girl were charged with break and enter at Redfern. They give her age as 18. http://newspapers.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/2303651?searchTerm=MOYA+SOLWAY Cheers, Di _________________________________________________________________ Use Messenger in your Hotmail inbox Find out how here http://windowslive.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=823454

Hi Pam, The Shipping Gazette may have information on Pilots, but I haven't checked them for you - they do give wages for the various positions though. http://www.nla.gov.au/ferg/issn/14403897.html The National Maritime Museum would probably be able to point you in the right direction - http://www.anmm.gov.au/site/page.cfm Martime Services Board records are at State Archives from 1870; perhaps you could contact them direct to see if they have any earlier records? http://www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/ Background information - http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/journals/ANZMLJ/2003/5.pdf Cheers Trish Nowra NSW > Can anyone tell me where I would find records of such > examination results please. Is anyone researching the family of this man. He was born in Staffordshire, arrived here with his father in 1873 aged 26, and married Bertha Welby in 1879. I am interested in learning more about his children. Gloria H Nth Qld
Is any one researching John Ramsay MAGILL and family? years ago a Lister gave me information about his burial place, which I lost in a computer crash. I have since learned that he in fact is buried on Oxley Station, not in Oxley cemetery. I am interested in finding out his arrival date and the name of the vessel. Gloria H Nth Qld.

Hello Everyone, I have been given some names that are supposed to be the children of FRANK DENNIS NORTHY & LEAH RUSSELL. I have been able to corroborate a good majority of these (I like to do that before I add them to the family tree). The children I need to confirm dates on are born after 1908. These children are MAYBELL (Mabel) EVELYN NORTHEY - born 1910 - EILEEN VENITA NORTHEY - born 1914 - KATHLEEN MARGARET NORTHEY - born 1919 - and - DOROTHY GWEN NORTHEY - born 1925. Does anyone have a birth index for after 1908, please? Regards, Ruth
Hi Everyone, Would someone with access to NSW births after 1908 please check for the birth of Moya Lesley/Leslie SOLWAY b.c.1912-1916. Moya was the daughter of James SOLWAY & Kathleen Olive STEVENS. They married in Lismore 1914 & divorced in 1916. Kathleen remarried to James Charles HODSON in 1931 & died in 1935. Moya is mentioned in her Mother's death certificate & I have found a few other references to her but the age/dates are a bit contradictory. Many thanks, Regards, Vicki No virus found in this outgoing message Checked by PC Tools AntiVirus (6.0.0.19 - 10.004.107). http://www.pctools.com/free-antivirus/

Is the sks who would be willing to take photo’s of the following at Glen Innes Cemetery for me as I live in New Zealand. I am tracing my late partner’s ancestry for our son. This would help him try to connect with his Aussie Ancestors. I would also appreciate it if I could get copies of death notices. If there is anyone on the list who requires a lookup in New Zealand (Christchurch only) I will see what I can do. Hi Listers I have just finished writing a 244 page book that I now have to convert to a PDF file to take to the publishers, hopefully tomorrow. I think there are programs that can be downloaded from the net that will allow me to convert my file to a PDF one. Could someone recommend a website where I could do this please. Many thanks Kerrie
