    3. Hi listers, Hoping someone can help. I have been helping a friend who lives in New Zealand find her family from England. After 13 years we have just found her sister. My friend Joy was adopted and new nothing about a lot of the family except for small bits I had done 13 years ago for her. We have been told she had another sister, in fact there were twin sisters. One named Deirdre the other Elie born 1930. We have found Deirdre on a passenger list 1956 from England to NSW on the Orion. The NSW marriages don't show a marriage up to 1959 but she may have married after that date. I also checked out the deaths, nothing for Rosseeuw. I also looked at every Deirdre or similar spelling. So she has either married or she may have moved out of NSW, or died. Is there any other way of finding out if she married after this date? If I was able to find a marriage is it possible to find living people in Aussie? Deirdre's parents were Ruby Agnes Evans and Emile Rosseeuw. Emile was killed in 1933 in a plane accident in Cape Town South Africa. Agnes remained in England and remarried to Percy Purvis the same year her husband was killed and her daughter was born, Joy in 1933. If there is anyone on this list that may know anything about Deirde and family we would love to hear from you as there is a lot of new family out there. If anyone can offer any ideas on trying to locate her would so grateful for any suggestions. Time is marching on and the icing on the cake with this family would be to locate the missing link, Deirdre. Sue Greene NZ.

    3. Hi Glenda There are 4 public trees on Ancestry for Sayles/ Sales/ Sailes The only to records that I found for a possible marriage for Mary Sayles are:-- 1 Mary Ann Sale married to James William Hughes on the 26 Aug 1875 in Qld Ref No 000720 Page No. 13065 2. Mary Seils married to George Martin in 1872 Qld Ref No. 000776 Page No. 13382 On one of the Family Trees said the Mary died 1880 in Queeensland but I can not find any record. On one of the other trees shows the records on for a Mary Ann b1838 Ruthland England age 6 coming out with her mother Elizabeth and her stepfather George Rowland In 1844, also it has the son of Joseph Sayles as George Joseph "Jo' Sailes b1870 Warwick and the followin info: He was married twice. NOTE George Joseph arrested for Bigamy 16 April 1914 Discharge 29 May 1915 18 months hard labour Boggo Road Jail. 1. Married on 21 Aug 1901 to Mary Ann Bender in Tenterfield, NSW Ref No.7685 2. Joseph died in 1870 when their youngest child was a baby. The children married in Qld, except Robert, who married in Tenterfield, and their families developed. I have been unable to find a re marriage or a death for Mary Ann Sayles. I have no documentary evidence of her parents' names. However, another researcher has told me that Mary (Ann) came to Aust. as a youngster with her mother Eliz Priel/Hardy/Rowland, and her mother having not long before remarried to a George Rowland. It is presumed the father died. We have no proven evidence of who her father was, but another researcher says a Nathaniel Hardy and I have also found a possible family of a John and Eliz Hardy with two daughters Eliz and Mary Ann, on the 1841 census in the area that the marriage of Eliz Priel/Hardy took place to Geo Rowland. There is a death for a John Hardy in the same area between 1841 and 1844, the time of the remarriage. Children of Joseph and Mary (Hardy) Sayles, were Robert m Ellen/Helen Dryce/Dries, Mary Sussanah m John Morris, Mary Ann (Sarah) m John Jarvie, then Malcolm McColm, Eliz m Wm Stewart. Joseph m Emily Pascoe, enry William. I have done the Morris family (my direct family), and have children's names for Robert and Ellen, Sarah and both her husbands and Joseph and Emily. Robert's children were Robert, Charles, Sarah , Philip, Mary, Gordon/Arthur, John and George. Phillip had no children. Sarah m Thos. Dawson and their children were Gwen, Clifton, Vincent, Dennis, Noel, Peter I haven't located any children for Eliz m Stewart Joseph m Emily Pascoe... children who lived to perhaps marry... Francis, Oliver, Violet, William Leslie, Florence and Robert Children of Sarah (Mary Ann on birth record)... were, Malcolm Alexander, Ruby (Pettigrew), Matthew (lived in Mackay), Sydney William, ?, Fergus (lived Brisbane), Alice, Mary (Luck), Rose or Rosetta. If anyone has any connection to these names, I would be happy to compare notes and hopefully solve the mystery of Mary (Ann)Sayles.
