Hi Audrey, Would you have ISBN numbers for those books you cited and I will endeavour to obtain them through my library. Pictures are a glaring shortfall in my research efforts. I have not persued Albert's father William Henry STENLAKE yet as he came from Devon. His wife Kate Emma MORRIS is my Great Grand Aunt. Albert had 4 sisters and a brother. Stenlake is definately not a common name anywhere which makes research quicker, but I have not proceeded to delve at this stage. I have done alot of WW1 research and when I saw the link to Frederika her surname lept off the microfiche because given the proximity of the marriage to the end of the Great War it was a bold move back then I think to marry someone with even a remotely German name, given the treatment some Europeans must have endured during the war years.
