In response to John's call for postings, am submitting the below. Herbert Mackay (born Herbert J. Mackie in Sydney 1836), died in Townsville 5/11/1930. Herbert (my ggfather) was a surveyor and according to an obit in the Townsville Evening Star, Herbert Street in Townsville was named after him. Herbert had a large family, and one son, Alfred Reay Mackay, is also buried at Belgian Gardens, Tville. I am interested in contacting anyone who has information on Herbert and/or Alfred Reay. One of Herbert's daughters, Isabel Frances, married HJ Atkinson and this family have links to GreenVale station. Would be happy to hear from anyone with knowledge of these people. Thankyou.
