Trekelano is the name. It is South east of Mount Isa, between Duchess and Kuridala. "Mines in the Spinifex" by Geoffrey Blainey (A&R 1962 / 1978) has some info. Trekelano was a small copper deposit, discovered in 1897, and mined by Hampden Cloncurry Copper Mines Limited around the time of WW1. We used to live in Mount Isa and will see whether we can find out any further info. cheers Ken and Margot Dredge Jacqui Conn wrote: > I'm trying to identify a mine near Cloncurry which is pronounced > Trick-a-lar-no.
