    3. On the 24 Jul 1874, The "St James" berthed at Maryborough. On board was the MALYON family - shipping records report MALLYON. Charles (1833-19Feb1907), his wife, Susan Anne (nee PURKISS) (1836-24Feb1875) and their three youngest children, Stephen MALYON (21Jul1864-6Apr1944) married Mary Ann MORAN Sarah Ann MALYON (1Jun1868-2Oct1943) married John BURNET/T Charles Francis MALYON (20Apr1873-?) married Luoisa HILLIER These family members settled around SE Qld. The eldest son, (my ancestor) reportedly had intended travelling with them, but after a family argument, caught the first ship out of England, intending to go to the USA, but arrived in Queensland on the 'Lady Douglas" on the 2 Jun 1874. Shipping records have him as MALYON but he is recorded in the Queensland records as: Henry MALLYON (9Oct1856-1929). He married on 20Apr1877, to Mary Jane DAVISON, an Irish lass straight off a boat. They settled around Central Queensland, namely Springsure and Rockhampton. I have most of the descendants, but would like to hear from anyone else researching these families. Descendants Names include but not limited to: Banwack, Bielby, Butcher, Buchanan, Cook, Finger, Gennings, Hanrahan, Herwin, Hillier, Madden, McConachie, McLaughlin, Moodie, Muirhead, Ohl, Owens, Parry, Savage, Smalley, Smith, Spanner, Steele, Stubbs, Trevor, Welk, Wieland, Winter, Wood, Wooler.
