Hello Ray Thanks for the reply I saw online that the Alexander Library in Perth holds a Pioneers and settlers register -Far No Qld to 1920, compiled by the Cairns District Family Society-Since I am in the US-I have no idea how to access this register. My ggrandfather John RYAN left Ireland in 1900 to join his children in Cairns. They-William, Sarah (MacLeod) and Bridget RYAN emigrated in the late 1880s. Another son Edward was a teacher there in 1917-1919. I was hoping they might be listed in this register. I am also trying to find out if there a searchable church records for the area-if so where to write?
