Hi Listers, It's been awhile!! Just thought I would drop you all a note to let you know about the celebration's Mt Garnet will be having in the September School holidays. Mt Garnet State School is 100 yrs this year the pre school is having it 25th? and the C.W.A. is 75yrs. A committee has be formed to organize a program of events for the Weekend of the 22 & 23rd of September 2001. I was present at the last committee meeting, it is shaping up to be a great weekend with lots to see and do. We are looking for idea's on how to produce or making a book to sell to help recover some of the costs involved- any idea's? the book will cover the whole town's history and may also contain item's from surrounding area's such a Coolgarra, and Innot Hot Springs towns and schools. We have the school admission register and will be holding a roll call, we are also looking for stories and pictures ect... from families that attended school here. this is all I can think of to start with?? Has anyone had experience with such functions before? we would love to hear from you and any advice that you may have would be gratefully accepted by the committee!
