I have a third edition of Gregory's refidex dated 1967 and as late as that year Thompson Estate was still listed as a suburb. As a retired taxi driver I remember people still asking for that suburb as late as the eighties. My latest Gregory's (2004) still has Thompson Estate listed as a locality name and a park, Thompson Estate Reserve, still exists between Juliette and Ridge Streets. The area as such disappeared when the South-East Freeway was built. Regards, Howard Brisbane.
