ENG http://www.rossbret.org.uk/ Those interested in family history, poor law, and many other subjects will find this new site very useful ENG www.ancestryaid.co.uk. Launched on the 24 September of this year, it is totally free, it is a friendly helpful site. It has different boards where you can post your queries request help for your lookups, has a program where you can upload your tree, also a gallery where you can put picture's of family past and present. Hope you find it helpful or just fun. ENG http://www.law.harvard.edu/library/collections/special/collections/manuscrip ts/deeds/ For those of you who may not know there is a collection of English deeds housed at Harvard Law School here in the U.S. There are descriptions of each deed, including all names contained therein: Some of the deeds are for land in America, but many of them are for land in England. They go back to the 1300's and up to the late 1700's . There is a small search term entry box on the left-hand side at the bottom of the screen. If you make sure that "HLS website" is clicked, it will search the deeds. ENG http://www.royalist.info/ I suspect this site will help very few peoples genealogy, but it is quite fun and very informative. It is a database of persons connected in some way to the British Royal Family, from early medieval times to the present day. Each entry gives details of mother and father, and any offspring. A useful site for students, for most of us it will just be a matter of interest, although my favourite information in there was the 'inbreeding factor' where the compilers have attempted to define just how inbred a character was, it becomes quite fun to find entrants with a high inbred factor - common in any royal family. Good fun, quite informative and extremely easy to browse ENG CON http://members.lycos.co.uk/troonexiles/the_cornish_in_west_cork.htm The Cornish in West Cork ENG CON http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/Cornwall/ Under EMIGRATION & IMMIGRATION - SOUTH AMERICA, it is worth referencing it again as many people could miss some of the resources available in tracking their wandering ancestors. The site is the result of work done by the University of Exeter on Cornish migration. The website has been given a new look (consistent with Archives NZ's corporate website) and a number of infrastructure issues have been addressed in order to stabilise the database. Archives New Zealand's first priority for NRAM has been to address a number of issues which potentially threatened the security of the database. This has now been completed. Although the website looks and feels different, content and functionality are essentially unchanged. Researchers can still search the database in its entirety or can concentrate on the holdings of a single repository. An improved online form is available for use by contributors. New entries or alterations to existing entries forwarded to me during the past few weeks, while the database was frozen, will be added by the end of the week. I would like to thank all regular contributors for their patience while we were completing the final stages of the project. Any comments regarding the new website would be welcomed by the Administrator. The headstone photographs will be put on the council's website as part of an online cemetery database, allowing genealogists and relatives easy access to information The online database can be found via the council's website: www.hastingsdc.govt.nz.
