    3. Hi Judy I can't say that I am connected to the Scott family (although my son's name is Scott!!) but I was interested in the location of the photograph, Victoria Estate, Herbert River. I do have a 'Flood' family and in particular one great uncle, Herbert Stephen Flood, who were living there in 1933. I have not been able to find out what happened to him. I know he married Elizabeth Bookall in 1916 and had a daughter named Blanche (whom I have a photo of). Do you have any information on the Estate or can tell me anything about it? thank you Fae in sunny Sydney ----- Original Message ----- From: "The O'Donoghues" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 10, 2001 12:13 PM Subject: Scott Family > Hi List > > Is anyone out there related to the Scott Family? > I have a photocopy of a photograph published in Cummins and Campbell's > Monthly Magazine, Nov 1931. > The caption reads: > The Scott Family, Victoria Estate, Herbert River. 1. Re: North Star mine
    2. Ian Hodkinson
    3. Elaine, Philip There was a North Star mine in the Argentine mining area west of Townsville but it was quite small. There was another North Star in the Fluorspar area near Chillagoe. D.W. de Havelland makes mention of it on page 383 of Gold and Ghosts Volume 4. There was yet another North Star near Georgetown it would seem and another in the Hodgkinson field. Seems to have been a fairly common name.... If you'd care to email me an image Elaine it might serve to pinpoint the location a bit easier ? Any dates or other info may also assist. Regards Ian Hodkinson [email protected]
