Darryn was born in Sydney on 1962, the youngest child of Jean and Ron Denton and brother to Gregory and Annette. Darryn moved to the Noosa area with his widowed mother and attended Toowoomba Boys Grammar School. He learned his butchering trade with Alan Gitsham. Darryn and Sharyn O'Neill were married in 1985 and thereafter, Joel and Hannah entered the world. Darryn loved country life. Following his divorce he cohabitated with Vanessa Bond in Kenilworth, but prior to his death was contemplating changes in his living arrangements. His unexpected death was tragic and shocking. A coronial enquiry into Darryn's death has not yet been concluded. Darryn is greatly missed by his Family and many Friends. As his executor, Darryn asked me to convey the following words: "Tell my Children that I love them more than my life."
