Many thanks to all those who answered my request re my great uncle and the 19th Battalion. From the websites (amazing) and the information given to me I have ascertained that he was in the first formation of the 19 battalion and he sailed on the Ceramic 25 June 1915 from Sydney. I will taken up the suggestion of looking in newspapers of that time but has anyone else any ideas about find a picture of that Battalion, Being the initial 19th battalion, I thought there maybe photos in existence.
