As promised I am posting the names from my Great Aunt's "Birthday Book" that I have found to be part of WW1. Firstly, those that I know are family. Cuthbert Francis LEACH pte 2854 37th Btn died 17 Nov 1918 (influenza). (My Great Uncle). I have just recently had a photo of him come into my possession along with a card made in Africa by one of his mates. His Cousins John Langford NAYLOR and Victor William LEACH also did not return. Ivan Imrie LEACH, brother of Victor returned home. He saw Victor's last moments. I have just recently managed to put together my Leech/Leach family tree with the aid of this little book. Now for the other names that I have found that took part in WW1 - June 10th Walter Edgar MOYLE October 6th Orry C FARRANT. I still have some names that I haven't been able to either decipher or locate information on them yet. It would appear that this was a gathering perhaps for my Great Grandfather who was in attendance, from what I can work out he would have been living in Brisbane at the time with his daughter and her family so it may have been a gathering of family and friends to see him again and friends of the children were welcome.
