There was an article in the Australian Women's Weekly - November 1986 about Dennis Adams, one time war artist who had done 6 paintings of Australian service men and women in military uniforms from 1914-1973. At the top of the article are two of those paintings - one a nurse from WW1 the other of three men in uniform with their guns moving forward in an upright position. This is a WW2 painting. The one of the men is the one that I have been trying to find out where to get a copy of - one of those men is my Grandfather Peter Hilland McCoid - even though the names of the men are not recorded anywhere there is no way that you could mistake my Grandfather for anyone else.
