Good evening all, Re 1068 Pte William Rice. I have just checked his discharge and he was discharged in Melbourne on 24th. January 1870. However on the back of his discharge it states that he was discharged at Hobart Town in February the same year. He died there in September 1916 aged 79. It appears to have been signed by Colonel Trevor.
