The following additional information will clarify the photo annotations for you: ----------------------------------------------- Mission on 12-13 August 1944 90 Squadron - Lancaster I - ME852 WP-Q - OP: BRAUNSCHWEIG F/O C. PERCY WILLIAM JONES Sergeant 1622133 90 Sqdn., Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve Age 19 CYRIL STANLEY GILBERT Sergeant 525662 90 Sqdn., Royal Air Force .-------------------------------------------- There is no mention of a Kelly that would fit. Perhaps your decipherment of Kelly and B....... are in fact Myers and Jones? Incidentally, the digital archive document brought to our attention by Claude O'Connor contains a 1948 letter from RAAF at page 6 which states: 'Flying Officer Bogle and his comrades are now buried in Plot XIX, Row A, Graves 5 to 11 which have been marked collectively with their names and service particulars.' I think this sufficient to confirm that Coll. does indeed stand for Collective but further confirmation could easily be obtained by a note to CWGC, there being an email contact address at their website. I would appreciate a scan of the photo which you so kindly offer.
