Hi 3 points on your quest 1) You are to be congratulated and supported on a HUGE task, possibly an impossible one 2) Please don't wait until you have all the ducks in a row before you publish. Many records have been lost or destroyed in floods and fires. Get a good grip on the subject and publish with updates as possible. If you wait to get it all you will never publish at all. 3) I know you have looked at Digger History but there is a page there that you might have missed. It records information prepared by the Australian Bureau of Statistics who have a very good record for accuracy. It is not complete in the sense that it does not break up into all the Units but it is a valuable tool. See it at http://www.diggerhistory.info/pages-conflicts-periods/other/stats.htm Ted www.diggerhistory.info ----- Original Message ----- From: "vrswanson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, April 21, 2003 2:21 PM Subject: Land Forces of the Australian Colonies > I am seeking accurate information relating to the land military forces > raised by the Australian Colonies from 1788 to Federation. > > I have to date collected information from the following sources :- > Australian War memorial, Australians at War {series prepared by Steve > Conway}, Defending Victoria, Queensland Defence Forces, Digger History, "The > History of The Military Forces of South Australia" {Ref.
