    3. Jan, I recall hearing of a Japanese hospital ship that was captured by the US navy and brought to Morotai. I have a photo, reportedly of that ship, alongside a wharf in there. The story was that the ship was intercepted and seized because it was carrying arms and supplies and there were non injured troops as well as injured aboard. The story was thought to be true at the time & to be honest I cannot remember if I actually saw the vessel. I did not take the photo - cameras & diaries strictly forbidden, but they were around & I have a few prints collected from someone. Might be worth a follow up.
