Hi Mike, I have now discovered that the Herbert John GOODMAN who went off to the Boer War was not connected to the GOODMAN family that I am researching. Nevertheless the whole Boer War exercise has been a very good learning experience. Therefore the brother was put down as next of kin. Would any of the Indexes show her death? Anne Does your Goodman family come from Ayrshire? I was typing up a Boyd Mure/Muir family from Rowallan near Fenwick, Ayrshire yesterday and the name The Goodman of ??? came up several time. When I was there last year I copied a number of Boyd families and came home with 200-300 Boyd families, but I have not looked this morning at the contents pages of several references to see if actually I did copy part of these Goodman families.
