I have recently been given some great images of the English bank notes that were overprinted in Arabic so the troops at Gallipoli would have spending money when they reached Constantinople. I have one at http://www.diggerhistory2.info/graveyards/pages/others/photo04.htm but these are better and of both denominations; one pound and ten shillings. I have always known the basics of the arrangement but now I would like to add the fine details. Who was issued them, how much were they issued, were that a charge against the soldier's pay or a freebie. Can any one help please? Cheers, Ted Harris
