Hello I am new to the list. I am seeking advice on where (or how) to find if any information exists about a JOHN PERRY, reportedly a soldier in Newcastle. He is named as the father on the death cert. of my husband's 4x great grandmother, MaryAnn Perry, born c 1812. She does not seem to have a birth cert. for us to get any other info on John from, so we are wondering if we would find military lists or something like that for Newcastle in that time period.
