    3. Hi Mike, Sorry I hadn't answered your post, but for some strange reason I don't appear to have got it, even checked list archives.? Thanks for the story and yes I do have a copy of his war records, I sent away for them a few years ago, I also have quite a number of pictures that he had taken overseas, a cute little envelope with a drawing of a soldier with a bayonet poking at this other little man with a funny hat, and the word "IMSHEE" written under it, also a few other bits like a 1941 Australian Soldiers Club (Fast Hotel) Jerusalem, Christmas menu and a nice letter he wrote just prior to his death. If there is anyone out there who may think they or one of their relations might have been a mate of Jims (Alfred), and think they may be in the pictures, I would be more than happy to scan a copy to them.(unfortunately he didn't put any names on them) Also thank you for the kind offer of a photo of his grave, that would be wonderful, I do have pictures of it, but they would date back to possibly 1943, I am sure nan would love to have a look at a more current one as well. Thanks again Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Barraclough" <kapana@netspace.net.au> To: <AUS-MILITARY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2006 9:15 AM Subject: [AUS-MIL] More on Alfred Charles PELLING > From: > > >X-From_: mike@regiments.org Wed Mar 29 15:51:30 2006 > > Mike - I assume oyu are on the list under another address - please > let me know offlist if you wish to have this one authorised so you > can alos post from it. > > Linda > List-admin AUS-MILITARY > kapana@netspace.net.au > > >Private Alfred Charles James PELLING, QX 6872, enlisted in Bowen > >Hills on 04 July 1940.
