Hi Sandie 69 Mobile Searchlight Battery was formed at Wyalla, SA in August 1942 and moved to Fremantle in August 1943. They moved north to Batchelor (S of Darwin) in June 1944 and to Hughes Airstrip in August 1944. They moved south to Adelaide in November 1944 and were disbanded in January 1945. This is a summary of the database printout for this unit and if you are interested you could get a copy of the full listing of the unit's location at the end of each month during the war. This is available from Grimwade Publications at [email protected] for the modest cost of $10 per unit.
