Could it be 'entrenching battalion'. Have come across this term for British units. Does anyone know what Ent is? My initial reaction was Entertainment but this might be wrong. I cannot find the abbreviation on Ross Mallett's wonderful AIF site or on the AWM site. This was a WW1 soldier Best wishes jan ==== AUS-MILITARY Mailing List ==== First AIF Order of Battle 1914-1918 http://www.adfa.edu.au/~rmallett/index.html
