I recently came across a reference that stared RAAF Vultee Vengeance bombers were withdrawn from operational service in New Guinea after a disasterous raid against Rempri by 58 Vengeances on 8 March 1944. Would anyone be able to provide further information or references to this raid. I am particularly interested in finding out how many 23 squadron aircraft were lost on the raid. Daryl Ward.
