Thirty-six Vengeances were involved in this attack on Rempi. Ack ack tore holes in four Vengeances of 24 Squadron, but damage was not serious. No aircraft were lost. The Vengeances were withdrawn from action due to lack of space at forward fields; lack of range; and lack of capability compared with Kittyhawks.
