Just a general enquiry I have just paid my Norton anti virus fee and firewall fees and since then no Ancestry.com can I down load. I can submit my details and that is fine but to imput names in the various census no good. Is this site down or is it due to the virus protections that was installed after last Saturday, and has anyone any idea when th 1841 English Census is to be uploaded on Ancestrt.com?? Dear Elaine We too had major problems with Norton anti virus. Might I make a suggestion? Delete the lot, get rid of it, forget you ever knew the name Norton. Instead, go to Avast.com. Down load the home edition. This is totally free and recomended by major corporations. The major corporations pay the big dollars for this system allowing Avast to offer it to home users for free. All you have to do is reregister every year. Avast has gotten rid of trojans that had settled into my computer that Norton knew about but did not have the ability to do anything with. If you are unsure of such a drastic move, might I thn suggest you disable Norton, download Avast and see what you think. I promise you Elaine you will not be disapointed.
