    3. Hello I have just joined this list and my research is mainly Allsop, Handley and McInerney and I would be interested in hearing from anyone who is also researching these names. I have a query which I hope sks will help me with. I have been trying to find death/funeral notices for ancestors mainly in the 1960's, and 1970's but don't seem to be able to find them. I have looked in the Age and the Herald Sun at the Sydney State Library and was wondering if there was another newspaper around these times that I have overlooked. I have approx 30 people. Many thanks, Sandra

Surprisingly THE newspaper was "The Argus" but they were bought out by the Herald and Weekly Times group who promptly closed down "The Argus" in 1957 which is a bit before your time frame.
